One Week Challenge: Exercise 30mins/day

May 29th, 2013 § 0 comments § permalink

The aim is to build a daily habit of exercising for at 30 minutes. In this challenge, do any form of physical activity for a streak of 7 days. If a break occurs, the challenge restarts until a streak of 7 days is reached.

Tips:

  • Do something that’s not location or equipment related to minimize excuses for not doing it. Ex. Jump rope, dancing, jogging/walk in place, stairs…etc
  • Do something you love and will not get bored with. I dance freestyle to Korean pop all over the house. I never get bored with it, it makes me happy.
  • Use your favorite up beat music. Any activity will feel 500 times more fun.
  • Just do something! Don’t sit! Move, wonder around the house like a zombie if you like, at least you are moving.

Constantly Reshape Yourself

In all you do, do it with a reserved heart. Have passion and drive for what you do. Give it your 100% and more if you have extra energy. Remember though… life is an evolution. Things change and  people change. Learn to change and learn to let go. Circumstances and facts cannot be changed but you can change. Nothing is worth more then your health and happiness. As long as one lives anything is possible. So pursue all your dreams with vigor but remember to love yourself, cherish yourself and take care of  yourself no matter what the outcomes are.

Mind Invasion

May 25th, 2010 § 0 comments § permalink

What populates within your mind? What lives within every cell of your body? What dominants? No, I’m not talking about aliens. Although they might as well be. “They” are just as unfamiliar as sneaky enemies that lie within the deepest crevices and darkest corners ready to take action at any given opportunity. “They” are our thoughts. Our thoughts are the foundations of all realities. As we persist and insists again and again, to believe, to think what is true, becomes true to us. No doubt about it, right? Then why would we believe we are not smart enough, not thin enough, not beautiful enough, not lovable enough? Where do these insecurities come from? Is the media to blame? Are your peers to be at fault? Your parents? Who’s to blame for all this negativity?

Our thoughts can be our friends instead of our enemies that help build solid foundations to our realities. Thoughts can hurt and heal at the same time. Choose to heal yourself.  If the anticipation of fear, distress, pain and everything bad can invade our mind and world, an equal amount of energy and power is available to anticipate all that is good. Elect to activate it. At any given moment we can flip that switch from – to + . The choice is yours, focus  all your thoughts and energy on the good. For example, if you obsess about sadness, be just as obsessive about smiles. Think of all the ways you can smile, where you can smile, what you can smile about, how you can smile, and who to smile at? Act on self motivating thoughts as you would act on self destructive thoughts. Let good things and things you enjoy, plague your mind as your worse fears and nemesis. Enjoy these new thoughts instead of fearing the old thoughts. Go to war with Negativity and free your mind to Positivity. Just as you are the creator of your unhappiness you can be the creator of your happiness.

Feeling Refreshed!

Sleep, ummm I love it! I slept very well last night. I think 10hrs. That’s a first in a long time especially at my rental place where noise keeps me awake. It helps a bit to have one housemate away on vacation. I love sleeping and dreaming so much, I use to really look forward to dreaming when I could sleep. Hopefully with more sleep I can start dreaming those cute dreams I use to have again ^_^

Basic Must Have Healthy Habits: Regulate in all you do!

October 30th, 2009 § 0 comments § permalink

Focus on the basics and form simple good habits. Simple habits does not mean easy execution. Balance and regulate these habits religiously and you will see great improvements physically and mentally.

  • eat = energize your body, with a healthy nutritious diet along with lots of water
  • poop = detox your body, do #2 at least once a day
  • sleep = rest your body, at least 8 hours a day
  • exercise = move your body, at least 30 minutes a day
  • play = rest your mind, form hobbies you enjoy
  • work =  move your mind, use, build and improve your knowledge

🙂 Like they say “what goes in must come out” and “If you don’t move it you loose it”, that goes the same for your body and brain. As for play and work, I’d like to play all day and not have to work. My work would then be playing which mean my play would actually be work…???  Overexertion or idleness are extremes. Always have the Ying with the Yang for an even balance.
