It’s been a tradition for me to take my mom to all the good Pixar movies and we couldn’t miss this one. She is now the kid in the family. The movie was awesome, my mom laughed and randomly shouted in Chinese during the entire movie. As you probably guessed, her english is worse than mine hence the natural reflexes. She gets very exited while watching movies, yes, even cartoons. It’s embarrassing, good thing we were in the dark and hey, all the other parents couldn’t control their kids either.

I just wanted to do a quick post on this cute little snail. He’s not a significant character in the movie just a little guy that appeared for a few seconds. His only line was, “I can’t be late for the first day!” then he takes a deep breath and runs with all his might. Of course he doesn’t go very far, it’s so hilarious. By nature he’s not quick but is oozing with determination and positive energy. He doesn’t give up. That’s what counts! He’s a very good role model, wouldn’t you say? I am also slow by nature, his infectious determination was so sweet, cute and encouraging. I just couldn’t help but notice.

Some sing, some read, some play video games and others, well…who knows what they do while taking care of business. Me, I played with Apps today. I have to admit it was fun, productive and entertaining . Ewww… my image on the web is ruined!!! In any case, if your interested, I used PhotoEdit first to crop, draw and add the text onto my photo. The text and image options were very limited but easy to use. Then I added an Instagram filter ‘Walden’ on top.

Now that you’ve manage to forget about my “creative crap” for a second, I hope you will discover fun filled joys in unexpected places.

This is a short funny Cantonese song from a TVB Drama, 荃加福祿壽探案 quán jiā fú lù shòu tàn àn (Super Snoops). Their singing and dancing makes me laugh out loud.

Study Materials

The song is sung in Cantonese. Many words are very hard to translate due to the nonsense nature of the song. Even my Cantonese friends says that it can’t be directly translated. I tried to translated it the best I can at the bottom, don’t take it as being 100% correct. This is a nonsense song for fun only. Learn the words for what it is with the Vocabulary list 荃加福祿壽探案 無聊合唱團. The definition and Mandarin pingying are in Traditional Chinese (I don’t know of a Cantonese translator).
