My Love and Hate for Henna

For those of you who henna your hair regularly know it’s a pain to prepare henna and you can’t just color your hair on a whim because you have to prepare it and wait for the color to release. It takes hours of preparation, coloring is messy and doing dishes afterwards is not fun. But henna is the only thing that can color my whites. It makes my hair shinny and soft. It also doesn’t have any chemical smell or chemicals in it at all. 100% natural. What else can I ask for? MAKE THE PROCESS FASTER!!! I don’t like it sitting in my hair the whole day and it dripping all over me, the floor and coloring everything it touches! I have better things to do…maybe 😛

For all Lazy Henna Geniuses

I’ve shrunk the henna preparation process to once for multiple applications. It’s been working really well for me. This way of preparing henna ensures you have proper color release to effectively color your hair.  Once henna is prepared properly you can color your whites in an hour otherwise it could take up 4hrs to overnight to get color to stick to your hair.

I have used henna for over 10 years experimenting with other henna color combinations but have gravitated towards simply using 100% henna on my hair. It’s easier and simplifies the henna process. This method will stretched every box of organic henna you buy and save money and time in the long run. I have prepared a video below to show you my perfected approach in preparing henna once and splitting & storing color released henna for multiple uses at any time you wish. This approach is especially great for small rushed and last minute touch ups or full head coverage.
