One Week Challenge: Exercise 30mins/day

May 29th, 2013 § 0 comments § permalink

The aim is to build a daily habit of exercising for at 30 minutes. In this challenge, do any form of physical activity for a streak of 7 days. If a break occurs, the challenge restarts until a streak of 7 days is reached.

Tips:

  • Do something that’s not location or equipment related to minimize excuses for not doing it. Ex. Jump rope, dancing, jogging/walk in place, stairs…etc
  • Do something you love and will not get bored with. I dance freestyle to Korean pop all over the house. I never get bored with it, it makes me happy.
  • Use your favorite up beat music. Any activity will feel 500 times more fun.
  • Just do something! Don’t sit! Move, wonder around the house like a zombie if you like, at least you are moving.

Playing with Apps: PhotoEdit and Instagram

Blue loves it when I give him all my crap. I am a lucky girl.

Some sing, some read, some play video games and others, well…who knows what they do while taking care of business. Me, I played with Apps today. I have to admit it was fun, productive and entertaining . Ewww… my image on the web is ruined!!! In any case, if your interested, I used PhotoEdit first to crop, draw and add the text onto my photo. The text and image options were very limited but easy to use. Then I added an Instagram filter ‘Walden’ on top.

Now that you’ve manage to forget about my “creative crap” for a second, I hope you will discover fun filled joys in unexpected places.

Don’t waste your youth, your talent, your health, and your possessions. Whatever belongs to you don’t let it sit in cobwebs. Maximize it to it’s fullness in potentials. Enjoy and treasure what you have.

To Share or Not to Share?

Today I shared one of the most personal things in my life with practically strangers at a new church fellowship. For most of my life I have kept these things in my heart. Sometimes it felt like a lock or a heavy load weighing on my heart and squishing all the air out of me. I struggled for so long and pondered during sleepless nights on how I can rid myself of what’s been kept away for ages. Natural timing is my excuse but it was probably more out of lack of thinking and the desperate need to release the recent added pressure. I probably should have also stopped before details came out but… it felt so liberating to let it out without thinking of the consequences. Sometimes that’s all one needs, someone to listen without judging. It’s not often we can find such good friend but then there is always God.

Reminder: No one needs to feel these burdens. God doesn’t Judge. Dump everything onto Him. God is always there listening. Talk to Him and He will always listen.
