People’s emotions are like bacterias. (原來人的情緒就åƒç´°èŒä¸€æ¨£)
When a person is unhappy (一個人ä¸é–‹å¿ƒ)
he will very quickly infect others around him. (很快就會感染身邊其他人)
Everyone think for a moment, in Grandma Plum’s lifetime (大家想一想，梅婆婆幾åæ²äº†)
she must have weathered many storms (經éŽç„¡æ•¸é¢¨æµª)
Among, there must be happiness, unhappiness (當ä¸ä¸€å®šæœ‰é–‹å¿ƒï¼Œæœ‰ä¸é–‹å¿ƒï¼‰
bitterness, sweetness (有苦,有甜)
but the only thing she most remembered was the sweetness of eating chocolate.(但是到最後她最記掛的是åƒå·§å…‹åŠ›ï¼‰
Why do we not choose to learn from her and be a simple human being?(為什麼我們ä¸å¸å¥¹ï¼Œåšäººç°¡å–®ä¸€é»žï¼‰
Only remember happy times, blessed things.(åªè¨˜ä½é–‹å¿ƒçš„時間,幸ç¦çš„事情)

Persistance prevails: Two budding buddha palm squash
September 9th, 2013 § 0 comments § permalink
Ever since I can recall my mom has always tried to grow and fruit the Buddha palm squash. These sensitive plants usually do not fruit the first year.  Every year for more than 10 years she tried to nurture these plants. She would care for it and water it meticulously. Blankets would be used in cold winter nights and uncovered in the day. Day by day she would care for it as if it were a child. One way or another it would always die within the first or second year without fruiting. I concluded a long time ago that this plant will not fruit for her. Today, amazingly, her two-year old plant sprout two beautiful babies. I’m overjoyed for her triumph. Hopefully they will grow big and yummy for me to eat…hahaha.
Reminder to self: If you want something, never give up, persistence, patience and tender loving care will always prevail.

Rain boots for the garden: Hello Kitty Ballerina rain boots in girls size 13/1
September 6th, 2013 § 0 comments § permalink
What a joy it is to see these Hello Kitty Ballerina rain boots in girls size 13/1 at Costco. It’s been a long and tough journey in finding an affordable pair of cute and comfortable rain boots that fits my tiny feet. These boots are a perfect fit. I was never a ballerina as a little girl but I can totally see myself exploring and dancing through the garden in these boots. These youthful girly boots are super comfy and makes me all happy inside when I wear them. Â I am in love these boots ^_^, especially with the polka dots and pink. They have other designs. You may want to go to Costco and check them out. I was too preoccupied with finding my size to notice what else was available. From the corner of my eye, I did however notice a man glaring at me and imagined what he might have thought, “Tiny psycho asian girl gone mad, Hello kitty shoe boxes = swimming pool?!” Oh well, I got my pretty pink rain boots. Joy, joy, joy!

From the front, these boots could pull off as a pair of adorable stylish rain boots for adults. You could style them under a pair of pants covering the ballerina if you prefer.

Pros:
- Bright, colorful, fun for adults and kids
- Wear in: have fun in the garden
- Wear out: add a splash of color on a gloomy rainy day
- Not overly bombarded with logotype
- Fits (adults size 4 or kids size 1) perfectly
- Very comfortable
- Cheap
Cons:
- Smells a bit plasticky. Most likely that will go away with use.
- Don’t like the handles but it may come handy when storing or drying.
Tips on shopping for small shoes:
- Always be on the lookout.
- Keep an open mind about where you shop (kids, toddlers, juniors departments and stores), don’t be embarrassed. You’ll pay a lot less too.
- Have fun and see the potentials in the shoes.
DIY earphone cozy from old socks
August 22nd, 2013 § 0 comments § permalink
I hate it when my earphone cords get all tangled up. I finally decided to take care of it once and for all. This DIY earphone cozy is made from my old sock. It’s light weight, prevents tangles and protects earphone for travel and daily use. You can easily pull the plug and earphones out from the cozy.
- Cut 2″ x 4″ rectangle from old socks
- Fold a small flap on the 2″ sides and sew to prevent fraying on both ends
- Fold lengthwise in half and sew the 4″ sides together

Red lines are areas to be sewn.
Stitch: Push needle through fabric and loop thread around needle and pull needle through to create a knotted edge. I used the same stitch throughout this project.
